HUNTERS International Insurance, a Toronto-headquartered boutique insurance brokerage, has purchased clean energy from Bullfrog Power, a Canadian provider of 100% green electricity from sources such as wind and low-impact water technologies.

"We help people and businesses manage their risks on a daily basis," says Brooke Hunter, president of HUNTERS. "Now, in a small way, HUNTERS is helping to manage 'earth risk' to achieve sustainable economic growth."

HUNTERS' Cleantech Practice division focuses on risk and insurance for renewable power, water technologies and pollution prevention, the company adds.

In addition, Bullfrog Power agreed to provide wind-generated electricity to offset the energy use of a recent Calgary, Alberta, concert by Canadian musical artist The Tragically Hip. The band has elected to use Bullfrog Power energy for many of their recent concerts in Ontario as well.
