Noble Environmental Power, an Essex, Conn.-based renewable energy company, has appointed Christopher Lowe chief financial officer.

In this role, Lowe will hold responsibility for the overall financial management of the company, including the financial planning and budgeting processes. Furthermore, he will lead Noble's project finance team in financing the company's windpark projects.

An investment banker with more than 17 years of experience in the project finance and power generation sectors, Lowe was previously a managing director at JPMorgan Securities and, most recently, a managing director and head of the Americas resources and energy group at HSBC Securities.
