Green Mountain Energy Co. has announced that Lord & Taylor will purchase renewable energy for its flagship Manhattan and Eastchester, N.Y., stores. The retailer is buying wind energy from Green Mountain for 100% of the two stores' electricity usage.
Lord & Taylor's two-year contract with Green Mountain will begin in November. The company will purchase more than 13 million kWh of wind power annually for the two stores. The power is being purchased in the form of renewable energy certificates.
