| Puget Energy, the parent of Puget Sound Energy, which serves more than 1 million electric and 700,000 natural gas customers in Washington state, announced that the company is establishing the Puget Sound Energy Foundation with a $15 million endowment from a portion of the recent sale of InfrastruX Group, a former utility construction services subsidiary. The foundation, which expects to begin awarding grants in early 2007, will support programs in a variety of sectors with a special focus on those initiatives that promote economic and environmental sustainability.
