Vancouver-based NaiKun Wind Development Inc. has signed an agreement for Germanischer Lloyd Wind Energy (GL Wind) of Hamburg to act as NaiKun's certification engineers. The developer says GL Wind will inspect, examine and provide quality management services for the design, engineering and construction of NaiKun's offshore wind project planned in northwest British Columbia. In addition, GL Wind will ensure NaiKun's 1,750 MW offshore project is in accordance with industry guidelines.

"GL Wind has over 25 years of experience and involvement in wind energy projects," says Peter Hunter, vice president, design and construction for NaiKun. "We are pleased to have secured their expertise and support services."
