The New Hampshire Senate recently voted in favor (24-0) of the Renewable Energy Act, a bill aimed at increasing the use of renewable energy in the state.

"The strong bipartisan support of the Renewable Energy Act moves us one step closer toward the goal of ensuring 25 percent of New Hampshire's energy comes from renewable sources by 2025," says Gov. John Lynch, D-N.H. "I look forward to signing this legislation."

According to the governor's office, the House has already passed the bill by a vote of 253-37.
