Houston-based Reliant Energy, an electricity and energy services provider to retail and wholesale customers in the U.S., has lowered its price for Residential Service Plan customers by 10% and is offering residential households in the Houston area a new 100% wind power product at the same price.

The average annual price for the Residential Service Plan will decrease by $0.017 cents per kWh to $0.0163 to $0.0146 for customers using 1,000 kWh per month, the company says. In addition, Reliant Energy will offer residential households in the Houston area an opportunity to select a month-to-month, 100% wind power plan at $0.0146 per kWh. According to the company, this is one of the lowest priced wind power offers in the market today.
