Vestas To Supply Turbines For Wisconsin Wind Farm

Vestas has received an order for 88 V82-1.65 MW wind turbines for the Blue Sky Green Field project located in Fond du Lac County, Wis. We Energies, the Milwaukee-based electric utility that is developing the wind farm, placed the order with Vestas.

"Vestas is delighted to secure this order with a leading Midwest utility," says Jens Soby, Vestas Americas' president. "The Blue Sky Green Field project will be the largest wind power plant to date in the state of Wisconsin."

According to Vestas, delivery of the turbines will commence in the fourth quarter of this year. The company will supply and commission the turbines, as well as maintain and service them for two years.
