The Port of Vancouver, Vancouver, Wash., has hired Nelson Holmberg as its communications manager.

Holmberg's 18 years of media and public relations experience include positions with The Oregonian, The Columbian, Washington State University's Athletic Media Relations Office, Pacific-10 Conference, Atlanta Glory and Portland Power professional women's basketball teams, as well as Northwest Public Power Association and Koopman Ostbo. In addition, he has worked as a communications consultant in Vancouver for three years.
