Garrad Hassan, a San Diego-headquartered provider of products and services for the wind industry, has made several improvements to its GH WindFarmer 3.5, the company's wind farm design software.

According to the company, new features of the program include an advanced noise impact assessment, a wake model for large offshore wind farms and new procedures to help users process wind data. The program also includes a link to GH Bladed, which provides wind turbine manufacturers with a tool that analyzes the fatigue loading of each turbine for the conditions on a particular site. The link tool has been verified and certified by Germanischer Lloyd, the company adds.
