WEA Submits Interconnection Request For 250 MW Project

Eden Prairie, Minn.-based Wind Energy America Inc. (WEA) has submitted a formal request for interconnection of 250 MW of wind generation to Black Hills Power Inc. for its Weston Wind I wind power project, located in Weston County, Wyo.

WEA anticipates moving forward on several development milestones, including evaluation of five years of meteorological data, permitting, interconnection and power purchase agreement negotiations, over the coming months. This project is one of several in WEA's project pipeline.
