Ignite Clean Energy, the third annual renewable energy competition sponsored by the MIT Enterprise Forum Energy Special Interest Group, has extended its submission deadline to March 12.

The competition provides start-up clean energy companies and entrepreneurs with the opportunities to develop business skills, network with industry professionals and attract potential investors. It will provide a total of $200,000 in cash and services to the top five finalists, including $30,000 worth of public relations services and office space for the grand-prize winner, the group says. Participants can be a team that wants to start a company, inventors who need business expertise, entrepreneurs who need people with novel technologies and enthusiasts who want to join teams.
