Naturener SA, a Spanish renewable energy project developer with U.S. headquarters in San Francisco, has entered into the North American wind energy market by acquiring Energy Logics Inc. and Great Plains Wind & Energy LLC.

According to the company, Energy Logics (now Naturener Energy Canada Inc.) and Great Plains Wind & Energy (now Naturener USA LLC) are developing an estimated 1,800 MW
of wind energy in Alberta and Montana. Naturener plans to develop the full 1,800 MW between 2007 and 2012 - with a total investment amounting to $3 billion dollars - the company adds.
