Pittsburgh-based PPG Industries, a global supplier of paints, coatings, specialty materials and fiberglass, has introduced HYBON 2026 fiberglass roving for use in wind energy and other global markets. This fiberglass enables manufacturers to make larger wind turbine blades, which help to increase turbines' energy output, according to the company.

HYBON 2026 fiberglass roving, which is manufactured in the U.S., the U.K. and China, reinforces composites used to create longer, lighter wind turbine blades. HYBON 2026 fiberglass is multi-compatible in a variety of resin systems, providing customers with versatility in design and engineering, the company says.
