Commerce Energy Group Inc., a Costa Mesa, Calif.-based electricity and natural gas marketing company, has begun offering electricity generated by wind in its 100% Wind Clear Choice product. The company also offers a 50/50 mixture of wind and fossil fuels in its 50% Wind Clear Choice product.

"We know that many of our customers want to improve the environment by choosing clean energy, but in the past, cost was an issue," says Steven Boss, chief executive officer of Commerce Energy. "With Commerce Energy's new Clear Choice clean energy program, we’re working with our suppliers to make wind-generated electricity available to our customers at a favorable price, removing cost as a barrier to buying clean energy."

According to the company, the clean energy program is certified for its Maryland customers by Green-e, an independent certification and verification program from the Center for Resource Solutions.
