Cheyenne Light, Fuel & Power, a Cheyenne, Wyo.-based electricity and gas supplier, has entered into a 20-year agreement with Happy Jack Windpower LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Tierra Energy LLC, to purchase power from its wind farm that will be built in Wyoming.

The 30 MW wind farm will be constructed on approximately 750 acres of land owned by the city of Cheyenne, which will receive annual royalty payments. According to the companies, it will be located roughly eight miles west of Cheyenne, adjacent to the city's Happy Jack landfill.

Tierra Energy has not disclosed the number of turbines that will be built or the manufacturer it is using at this time. The project is slated to begin construction in 2007 and be complete in 2008.
