Suzlon Energy Ltd. has received updated certifications for the V3 and V2 versions of the S88 2.1 MW wind turbine. The certification comes from Germanischer Lloyd (GL), a certification body in the field of appraisals, certifications and expertise in wind energy. GL is accredited to certify in accordance with all relevant standards in the field of wind energy and ocean energy conversion.

According to Suzlon, these certifications are extensions of existing certifications on the S88 V3 and V2 wind turbines, and are updated with inclusion of alternate makes and variant designs of various components.
