Toronto-based WireIE Holdings International Inc. has partnered with Carbonzero to produce significant reductions in carbon emissions throughout the Canadian telecommunications sector.

Carbonzero offsets are directed to projects that either replace fossil fuels with clean energy sources such as wind or solar, or projects that reduce fossil fuel emissions altogether.

"WireIE's technology will bring a regular stream of offset inventory to Carbonzero to sell, and give telecoms the tools for quantifying, managing and reducing their greenhouse gases," says Kate Holloway, CEO of Carbonzero.

WireIE is actively involved in the shift from traditional technologies and deployments to cost and carbon reducing solutions. These implementations can include the planning and delivery of certified emission reduction projects through the deployment of renewable energy sources and carbon trading contracts.
