Nashua, N.H.-based Semaphore, a wholly owned subsidiary of CSE-Global Ltd., has introduced a resistance temperature detector (RTD) interface for its T-BOX line of supervisory control and data acquisition (SCADA) system products. The MS-6RTD interface module is compatible with a T-BOX MS modular system and accommodates a broad range of two-wire and three-wire RTD temperature sensors.

Direct connection of RTDs to T-BOX MS simplifies installation and is particularly cost-effective for processes using multiple temperature measurements, according to the company. Used with one or more MS-6RTD modules, T-BOX MS is suitable for applications in energy management, infrastructure management, power generation and utilities.

In addition to process control, T-BOX performs alarm management and data logging and uses push technology to keep multiple recipients fully informed on the status of all assets. Push messaging includes IP forwarding, e-mail with attached files and SMS text. T-BOX serves live and historical information via the Internet or intranet.
