The Cleantech Group LLC, in conjunction with the American Stock Exchange, has announced Cleantech Index's addition of 33 companies to its portfolio of global clean-tech leaders.

"This expansion augments the Index's coverage of the surging world demand for clean technology solutions in the face of resource and environmental challenges," says Rafael Coven, managing director of clean-tech indices for the Cleantech Group.

Some of the companies joining the index include Gamesa, Iberdrola Renovables, Suzlon Energy and Vestas Wind Systems.
