Eurus Energy America Corp., a wind energy developer, has appointed Karen Derenthal Schmidt as its head of project finance.

Previously, Schmidt was a principal at Merzbach Carbon Finance, an advisory firm specializing in environmental markets. Prior to Merzbach, Schmidt was the global head of energy project finance at Banque Nationale de Paris.

"We are glad to have Karen on board and believe that with her experience in environmental markets and project finance, she will be an excellent addition to our senior management team," says Mark Anderson, president and CEO of Eurus Energy America.
