Wind Energy America Inc. (WNEA) has elected Paul R. Knapp Sr. to its board of directors. Knapp is president and CEO of Space Center Ventures, a St. Paul, Minn.-based venture capital fund. He has served on the boards of a number of private and public companies, and currently serves as a director of Minneapolis-based Venture Bank. Knapp is a 1982 graduate of the College of St. Thomas and a 1985 graduate of William Mitchell College of Law.

"I believe WNEA is well positioned to take full advantage of the very promising opportunities presented by the rapidly expanding wind energy industry," says Knapp.
