High Country Energy, a community-based energy development (C-BED) organization, has announced that Minnesota landowner and farmer Dana Christie will join the company's advisory board for the nation's largest planned C-BED wind project.

Christie has farmed in the Olmsted County and Dodge County, Minn., area for the past 30 years and will serve as an additional community representative on the board. Christie will help the board advise and inform landowners on issues involved in the community wind development process.

High Country Energy was formed by wind farm developer National Wind. High Country Energy's 300 MW project is located in Dodge and Olmsted counties, will be developed in several phases and is expected to be operational by 2010.
