MissionPoint Capital Partners has made a long-term investment in UpWind Solutions Inc., an operations and maintenance service provider for utility-scale wind energy projects. This investment will allow UpWind Solutions to expand its business to O&M.

Based in Norwalk, Conn., MissionPoint Capital Partners is a private investment firm focused on high-growth investment opportunities created by the accelerating demand for clean, secure energy.

“We don't believe high winds should be a problem - they should be an opportunity. We've created a culture where our technicians are motivated to be proactive and find real-time solutions that increase availability in the face of the equipment challenges posed by high winds,” says Bo Thisted, president of UpWind Solutions.
