Availon Inc. has been awarded a long-term contract to provide a full scope of operations and maintenance (O&M) services, including scheduled and unscheduled services, to the 132 MW Big Smile Wind Farm.

Located near Cheyenne, Okla., the farm is owned by ACCIONA Energy North America and came online last year. The project features 66 Gamesa G90 2 MW turbines. To ensure the efficient fulfillment of its contractual obligations, Availon says it is establishing an on-site field office staffed with a site manager and a team of wind technicians.
