Wind turbine manufacturer Nordex SE has announced recent contracts in Germany totaling 36.8 MW.

In October, three customers placed orders for new wind farms comprising a total of 15 N100/2500 and N117/2400 wind turbines. Nordex gained new business in Bavaria and will supply seven of its N117/2400 units to two wind projects in the region. The company says Bavaria is characterized by lighter winds, for which the turbines are particularly designed. Nordex will also supply its regular customer Enertrag with eight of its N100/2500 moderate-wind turbines for a site in Mecklenburg-West Pomerania.

Nordex says it will begin installing the turbine at all three wind farms in summer 2014.
