Moog, a provider of blade pitch control, slip ring and rotor monitoring solutions for the wind energy industry, has launched its new AC Moog Wind Turbine Pitch System in China and integrated it at an offshore wind project in the region. The company notes that the system is also available to wind farm operators in North America.

Moog says the system's modular design makes it easy to integrate into customers' turbines and key components of the Moog AC Pitch Servo technology have been TUV certified for compliance with the certification guideline GL2010 and the international standard ISO 13849-1.

The new AC pitch system has been integrated in Envision Energy’s 4 MW offshore wind turbine and put into operation at the Rudong Intertidal wind farm in China.
