The Center for Resource Solutions (CRS) has released the second version of the Draft Green-e Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Protocol for Emission Reductions from Renewable Energy for stakeholder comment.

This second draft of the protocol has been revised in response to comments received in the first stakeholder comment period, CRS says. CRS is encouraging stakeholders to access the draft protocol and provide comments using an electronic comment form available at green-e.org.

According to CRS, the intent of the protocol is to bring additional credibility to the market for GHG reductions or offsets derived from renewable energy project activities, and to further the development of the voluntary market for renewable energy.

Comments on the protocol are due by Oct. 10.
