Schneider Power Inc. has planned a dedication and phase-two ground breaking on Sept. 15 of its wind farm project on Manitoulin Island, Ontario. The Providence Bay Wind Farm is near Providence Bay and Spring Bay and currently has two 800 kW Enercon wind turbines. The developer plans to install three 2.3 MW wind turbines in the second phase. Total generating capacity of the project will be up to 10 MW.

The wind farm will house a public information center with learning materials on renewable energy, wind farm operations and energy conservation.
