EnergyConnect Inc., a subsidiary of Portland, Ore.-based electricity grid services provider Microfield Systems, has named Bill Munger vice president of participant operations. Microfield Systems' focus includes the design and integration of infrastructure for wind, solar and other distributed power systems.

In this new role, Munger will be responsible for the account management, system integration and engineering teams. Additionally, he will continue in his current position of vice president of human resources for Microfield and its subsidiaries. Munger formerly worked at Intel Corp. as human resources manager for sales and marketing.
