GL Garrad Hassan Appoints New Country Manager For India

GL Garrad Hassan has named Dilip Kumar as the company's new country manager for India.

In this role, Kumar will manage a team of 28 engineers and support staff who specialize in a wide range of service offerings to the wind and solar energy industries. These services include resource and energy analysis for wind farms and solar projects; due diligence of wind farms and solar projects for investors; wind turbine performance testing (power, loads, quality, noise); manufacturing inspections; and wind farm construction and operations.

Kumar is a mechanical engineer with over 30 years of experience in professional engineering roles. He has previous consulting experience, having worked for a major engineering consultancy on power projects throughout India, the Middle East and Africa.

In his last position as general manager of a major wind turbine manufacturer, Kumar was responsible for setting up a manufacturing plant for wind turbine and generator components. His diverse background includes experience in plant engineering, quality system management, green-field project management, and operations and maintenance.
