Gearbox Manufacturer Selects Tentec's Bolt Tensioning System

Tentec, a supplier of bolt tensioning products, says it has received an order from Gainesville, Ga.-based ZF Industries.

According to Tentec, ZF purchased its Tentec M42 WTB bolt tensioner system for its production facility. Tentec says its system provides the plant's production engineers with the ability to carry out bolting on the gearbox casings.

In addition to the system's spring-returned piston, the tools are fitted with a spring-loaded device, which automatically engages the tensioner drive socket with the hexagon nut, notes Tentec.

ZF Industries opened the factory in 2012 and manufactures the Atlas 1 wind turbine gearbox for Vestas.
