enXco Development Corp., a division of EDF Energies Nouvelles, and Des Moines, Iowa-headquartered MidAmerican Energy Co. have signed an amendment to their turnkey engineering, procurement and construction services agreement for the transfer and installation of an additional 75 MW to the existing 123 MW Pomeroy Project, a wind farm to be located in Pocahontas County in north-central Iowa.

According to enXco, the additional 50 1.5 MW sle GE wind turbines will be added to the initial 123 MW currently under construction.

"enXco is thrilled with the opportunity to enhance its long-standing relationship with a premier utility like MidAmerican through the expansion of the Pomeroy Project," says Jorge Colmenares, vice president of project transactions and structuring for enXco. "The state of Iowa has been instrumental to enXco’s business strategy, given its strong support to wind power both at the state and community levels."
