REpower Enters Romanian Wind Energy Market

Suzlon subsidiary REpower Systems SE has signed a contract with P.E. DEUS EX SRL, a project company of WSB International GmbH, to provide eight turbines for a wind project in Romania.

Under the agreement, REpower will deliver eight of its 3.2M114 wind turbines - each of which has a rated power of 3.2 MW, a hub height of 93 meters and a rotor diameter of 114 meters - to a wind project near Margineni in Neamt County, Romania.

This contract marks REpower's entry into the Romanian wind energy market.

REpower notes that it has already concluded several contracts for projects in Poland and the Czech Republic with the parent company and owner, WSB Neue Energien GmbH. The wind farm is set to be constructed and commissioned by fall 2013.
