Community Energy is offering an option for Duquesne Light customers to buy 100% local wind and solar power.

According to Community Energy, which recently announced its entry into the Pittsburgh market, the offering is the first and only 100% Pennsylvania-sourced renewable electricity option on the PAPowerSwitch website sponsored by the Pennsylvania Public Utility Commission.

“Community Energy is pleased to offer Duquesne Light customers the opportunity to switch to 100 percent clean, locally made electricity,” says Jay Carlis, vice president at Community Energy. “Pittsburgh institutions joined us in leading renewable energy in the Keystone State over a decade ago. We are excited to now bring our clean energy option to residential customers.”
