Vestas has received an order for 68 MW consisting of 34 units of the V90-2.0 MW turbine for the Keadby Wind Farm project, located near Scunthorpe in Lincolnshire, U.K.

Vestas anticipates the first turbines will be installed during the summer of 2013 with project completion slated for 2014. Once built, Vestas says the Keadby Wind Farm will be England's largest onshore wind farm.

The company notes that the turbine supply order was placed by SSE, a U.K. and Ireland electricity and gas company. The company is the U.K.'s second largest generation business, with a total capacity of just over 11 GW of capacity.
