Vestas has signed a contract to provide eight of its V112-3.0 MW wind turbines to Fri-El Green Power SPA for the Gorgoglione Guardia Perticara wind power plant, to be located in the Basilicata region of Italy.

The contract comprises the delivery, transportation, installation and commissioning of the turbines; a VestasOnline Business SCADA system; and a five-year service and maintenance Active Output Management 4000 agreement.

Delivery of the turbines is expected to start at the beginning of 2013, and the project is expected to be commercially operational by the first quarter of 2013.
