North American Windpower: TUV SUD Group Acquires PMSS

The U.K. division of the TUV SUD Group has acquired consultancy PMSS to bolster its renewable energy consulting services. Terms of the deal were not disclosed.

PMSS offers project development, due diligence, engineering, environmental and consenting, health and safety, and construction services to the renewable energy sector including both onshore and offshore wind, wave, tidal, solar and biomass. The company has resources of around 70 experienced and technically qualified staff in the U.K., Germany and U.S.

According to TUV SUD, the transaction also expands the conglomerate's geographical reach, creating the opportunity for further development of its services portfolio in new markets.

Alan Chivers, PMSS president and CEO, will become divisional director within TUV SUD's global platform.
