3Degrees, a San Francisco-based carbon solutions company, has launched three renewable energy certificate (REC) products certified under the Center for Resource Solutions' Green-e Energy program.

The three programs are Catalyst Wind Power RECs, which was created to help support new wind farms that have come online on or after Jan. 1, 2011; Regional Green Power RECs, designed to help encourage regional green power project development; and Brighter Schools Solar RECs, to support photovoltaic solar power projects located at schools across the U.S.

Green-e Energy is a consumer-protection program requiring that greenhouse-gas emission reductions be verified according to strict, project-level certification.
