REpower Systems AG will deliver 44 2 MW wind turbines to the U.S. for wind power developer enXco Inc., the U.S. subsidiary of EDF Energies Nouvelles. The wind turbines are destined for various projects in Washington. Of the 44 wind turbines, 35 are scheduled for installation next year, REpower says, and the remaining nine will be installed in 2009. enXco purchased 75 2 MW wind turbines from REpower in April for the Shiloh II wind farm in California.

In related news, REpower says it will open a sales, service and project management office in Portland, Ore., in order to address on-going demand in the U.S. market.
