North American Windpower: Investment Firm Provides Construction Loan For Wal-Mart DC

Belleair Bluffs, Fla.-based Seminole Financial Services says it will provide a $5.5 million construction loan to install a GE 1.5 MW wind turbine at a Wal-Mart distribution center located in Red Bluff, Calif.

Known as Foundation Windpower-Wal-Mart Red Bluff, the project is located approximately 120 miles northwest of Sacramento, and is expected to provide approximately 25% of the distribution center’s electricity, according to Seminole.

The installation will begin by the end of this month, with a projected completion date set for mid-August.
