The Distributed Wind Energy Association (DWEA) says that more than 100 new members have joined the organization since its founding in 2010. Members represent a wide variety of industry leaders in the distributed and community wind industry, the association notes.

New DWEA members join a growing and dynamic professional association of manufacturers, distributors, project developers, dealers, installers and advocates whose primary mission is to promote and foster all aspects of the U.S.' distributed wind energy industry. The association says it works to provide a unified voice for the wind energy industry, and help develop federal, state and local policies that support expansion of the distributed wind energy market.
