Healthcare products and services provider Sage Products has announced that it will purchase from Constellation Energy Green-e Energy-certified power sourced from wind energy facilities located throughout the U.S. According to Sage, the renewable energy credits (RECs) will match 50% of the electricity use at its headquarters, located in Cary, Ill.

"As one of the largest users of energy in our community, we have to reduce our carbon footprint because it’s the right thing to do," says Scott Brown, president and chief operating officer. "Sage’s support of renewable energy is a major part of our commitment to reduce waste in every aspect of our business."

RECs from Constellation Energy can be purchased as part of a broader energy supply agreement, including electricity and gas supply.
