Power Climber Wind Installs Climb-Assist System At Flat Ridge Wind Farms
| in News Departments > FYI |
| Power Climber Wind, a division of SafeWorks LLC, has completed the installation of its IBEX 1000 climb-assist system at BP Energy's Flat Ridge II and Flat Ridge Expansion projects, located near Harper, Kan. The climb-assist system - which is being outfitted in more than 300 wind turbines at the sites - will provide the Flat Ridge technicians control over climbing speeds. The company says the system reduces long-term wear and tear that comes with climbing multiple turbine ladders, thus improving productivity and worker health and safety. The climb-assist system also allows user-adjustable support settings and provides load support in both the up and down directions, regardless of climbing speed, the company adds. |
