Seeking to extend its reach into the European market, Catch the Wind says it will partner with Availon GmbH to provide sales, installation and maintenance services in the German market.

Under the terms of the agreement, Availon will market Catch the Wind's optical control system (OCS) and be responsible for the product's installation and maintenance.

From its position atop a turbine's nacelle, the OCS measures wind speed and direction and uses the information to optimize turbine performance, increase energy output and reduce stress loads, Catch the Wind says.
